In recent years, the College has been deeply mindful of the financial pressures faced by families. For several years, tuition fees have either remained unchanged or have only increased minimally. This was a deliberate decision to support our community through challenging economic times. During this period, the College has absorbed significant increases in operational costs including staffing, utilities, compliance, insurances, technology, and maintenance. While we have managed these pressures through careful financial stewardship, it is no longer sustainable for the College to continue absorbing rising costs without impacting the quality of education, programs, and services provided to our students. To ensure we remain vibrant, future-focused, and financially sustainable, the average tuition fee will increase by $300 per year (or $6 per week).
A new Laptop Levy will be introduced for Year 7 students, payable annually over three years. Each Year 7 student will receive a new College-supported laptop, replaced in Year 10 to ensure reliable technology throughout senior studies. The laptop levy will be $550 per year (or $11 per week).

The split of VET subject costs between the College and the family depends on the following factors: the provider of the course; the cost of the course set by the provider including what is defined as the student fee component; the availability of alternative courses; and the amount of any band funding available.

The College has moved to the sending of periodic Statements via email as the preferred method. Families will be asked to supply the preferred email address for the receipt of emailed statements.

Route 420 Sunshine Station-Watergardens Station (Direct Service)
A PTV route service links Marian College with Watergardens Station and Sunshine Station travelling along Glengala Road, Tilburn Road, Station Road & Kings Road in both directions.
This service has bus stops within 60m of the front gate of Marian College coming from either direction. Push this link for more information on the route, stops and times: http://ptv.vic.gov.au/timetables/linemain/8710
Note: Students wishing to catch the 420 service heading in the direction of Watergardens Station (towards Fitzgerald Road) need to catch the bus on the opposite side of Glengala Road to that of Marian College. In the interest of safety, students are required to use the pedestrian lights in crossing Glengala Road to get to the bus stop.
This service operates between Laverton Station and Sunshine Station via Derrimut (refer to this link for more information about the route, stops and timetable).
Students could be dropped off at the Deer Park Railway Station/Tilburn Road Bus Stop and connect with the route 420 service to Marian College (and vice versa).
For example, a student living in the Derrimut area could catch the 400 service at Pembrooke Crescent/ Westminster Parkway, be dropped off at Deer Park Station/Tilburn Rd and catch the 420 service to the College (check PTV timetables for connection times).
Alternatively, a student could be dropped off opposite Ardeer Station in Tilburn Road and walk to the College (approximately a 10 minute walk).
The College is approximately a 10 minute walk from Ardeer Station. This station is serviced by the Ballarat V/Line train on some services. Alternatively, students can get off the train at Deer Park or Sunshine Stations and connect to the school with the 420 Bus.
The Tarneit-Geelong V-line train does not stop at Ardeer during peak hour of a morning and afternoon but students may get off this train at either Deer Park or Sunshine Stations and connect to the school with the 420 Bus.
The College uses Jacaranda Interactive ebooks in Years 7 and 8 as the main subject resource. This means that students have online access to the majority of their class resources using one password. The cost of the Jacaranda suite per student in Years 7-8 is $139.95 in 2026 and is paid for online through the booklist process. Some other subject areas require additional digital resources such as Stile (Science), LOTE resources (Italian and Indonesian) and To Know Worship & Love (Religious Education) which are charged separately through on the booklist.
